According to the latest information, 8.50 percent interest has been deposited in 6.47 crore PF accounts. EPFO will give the next update in this regard on November 15. Messages are being sent to all account holders in this regard, if anyone has not received SMS, then they can check by the steps given below.

Actually, interest is paid on PF every year by EPFO. The rate of interest is fixed by the central government. After this the amount of interest comes in the account of PF account holders. This year, the Central Board of EPFO ​​has decided to pay 8.5% interest and has given the approval of the Finance Ministry on this, after which the money transfer has started in the account of the employees. So far, the amount has been transferred to the accounts of 6.47 crore account holders. A new update in this regard will be given by EPFO ​​on Monday, 15 November 2021 by tweeting.

Let us inform that in March this year, the EPFO ​​board had proposed 8.5% interest for the fiscal year 2021. Earlier in the fiscal year, EPFO ​​had earned Rs 70,300 crore. In this, Rs 4000 crore was achieved by selling equity investment. EPFO ​​is paying 8.5% interest which is higher than other small savings. General Provident Fund (GPF) and Public Provident Fund (PPF) offer 7.1% interest. Whereas National Savings Certificate is getting interest of 6.8%.



It is worth noting that more than 6 crore employees of the country deposit a certain amount of their salary in the form of Provident Fund (PF Account). Is. In 2020, the EPFO ​​had reduced the PF interest rate to 8.5 percent in March 2020, which is the lowest in the last seven years. In the same financial year 2018-19, the interest rate was 8.65 percent, although it was only 8.55 percent in the financial year 2017-18, while it is 8.5 percent for the financial year 2019-20.

You can make a missed call or SMS to know whether the interest amount has come to your PF account or not. You have to give missed call on 011-22901406 . Moreover 7738299899 on EPFOHO UAN ENG (for the last three characters of the language) must be sent in writing. If you want information in Hindi language, then you have to send it by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN . This service to know PF balance is also available in other languages. For example, information will also be available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.

  • EPFO members  can view their account balance and EPF details through ‘ UMANG’ mobile application .
  • For this, go to Employee Centric Services and click on View Passbook.
  • To check your balance in Employees’ Provident Fund, you need to enter the UAN and enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
