7th pay commission latest update: If you are a central employee then this news can be of your use. Actually, since last few days a message is going viral on social media. The message claimed that there is a plan to link the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) with the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). According to the message, its objective is to provide treatment to CGHS beneficiaries in government hospitals instead of private hospitals.

Now this message has been declared fake in PIB Factcheck. According to the Twitter handle of PIB Fact Check, this claim is fake. The central government has not made such an announcement.

Recently there were reports that a plan to integrate the Health Scheme (CGHS) with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is being considered. Its purpose is to create a digital health identity of CGHS beneficiaries and collect their digital health records.

About CGHS Scheme: Let us tell you that the Central Government Health Scheme is the health scheme of the Central Government. Under this, central government employees, pensioners and their dependents are treated. It has around 450 wellness centers working in 75 cities of the country. Under the scheme, government employees get the facility of cashless treatment in the hospital. To take advantage of the scheme, the eligible person must have a CGHS card.
