UP Rains Alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for eastern UP and Terai districts in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains with strong winds have been predicted in many districts including Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Amroha, Rampur, Sambhal and Bijnor.
Monsoon is not ready to leave Uttar Pradesh yet. After the rain stopped for the last few days, people were facing strong sunlight and humidity. However, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again released a big update. The department says that the weather will change in the next 24 hours and heavy rains (UP Rains) may occur in many districts along with strong winds.
Relief from humidity, cold showers will come again
For the last three-four days, there has been bright sunshine during the day in UP, due to which the temperature has increased by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius continuously. The heat and humidity had troubled the people. However, on Saturday night, there was light drizzle in some districts of eastern UP, which gave some relief to the people. Now the Meteorological Department says that once again a period of heavy rain will be seen in the coming days.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for many districts of eastern UP on September 7. According to the department, there is a possibility of strong winds and torrential rains (UP Rains).

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning and said that there is a possibility of heavy rain (UP Rains) in Varanasi, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria, Ballia, Sonbhadra, Azamgarh, Basti, Faizabad, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Allahabad, Chandauli, Amethi, Ayodhya, Lakhimpur Kheri, Barabanki , Moradabad, Amroha, Rampur, Sambhal and Bijnor and surrounding districts.
What should people do?
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people of these districts to be cautious. Do not leave the houses during lightning and strong winds. Farmers have also been advised to keep their crops and grains in a safe place.
