One-time charge for issuance of locker

Changes have also been made in the one-time registration charge levied while purchasing a locker. Currently, this charge is ₹ 200 in rural and semi-urban branches and ₹ 500 in urban and metro branches. According to the new rules, a one-time charge of ₹ 200 will be charged for all lockers in rural and semi-urban branches . At the same time, ₹ 500 will be charged for small and medium lockers in urban and metro branches and ₹ 1,000 will be charged for large, very large and extra large lockers .

Stop Payment Instruction

There has been a partial change in the charges for stop payment. Currently, the stop payment charge for a single cheque is ₹ 100, which will remain the same in future as well. However, the charge for a series of three or more cheques is currently ₹ 300, which has been increased to ₹ 500. This new charge will be levied on a series of five or more cheques.

Charge for failing Standing Instruction (SI)

Currently, the bank charges ₹ 100 per transaction plus postage charges for a standing instruction failure . Under the new rules, a flat charge will now be levied every month instead of per transaction. That is, whether one SI fails in a month or three, you will have to pay a charge of ₹ 100 + GST. However, in cases like term loans or RD, only a maximum of three SI transactions will be allowed to fail.

Nomination Service (Nomination Charges)

Some changes have also been made in the nomination rules. The first nomination request will still be free. After this, a fee of ₹ 100 will be charged every time the nomination is changed, except when the nominee dies. In case of death of the nominee, the bank will fulfill this request without any fee after submitting the death certificate to the branch.
