LG has introduced myriad features such as AI-integration, dedicated Google Assistant button, Boombox speakers, Super Far-Field Voice Recognition technology and AI-enabled cameras.
South Korean technology giant LG released its latest flagship series smartphones the G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ in New York on Wednesday. Although the company unveiled the AI-integrated and feature-heavy smartphones, it did not mention the price-range of the devices.
The flagship smartphones will be initially launched in South Korea before making their way to major markets such as North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. It is still unclear, when the smartphone will be available in India.
Features
The G7 ThinQ was launched as the successor to the LG G6, which incorporates an iPhone X-like notch display. LG has introduced myriad features such as AI-integration, brighter display, dedicated Google Assistant button, Boombox speakers and Super Far-Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) technology (which allows users to interact with the phone from a distance), AI-enabled cameras.
Specifications
The only difference between the two devices is the internal storage and RAM. While the G7 ThinQ comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage; the G7+ comes with a larger 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Both smartphones are equipped with a 6.1-inch QHD+ FullView display with a resolution of 1440*3120 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The brightness of the phone can auto-adjust up to 1,000 nits. The phone is 7.9mm thick and weighs 162 grams.
The dual-SIM devices run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and is supported by an LPDDR4X RAM along with Adreno 630 GPU. The memory of the devices can be expanded up to 2TB. They come with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Camera
The gadgets sport dual-rear 16MP cameras. The primary sensor is a wide angle lens with an aperture rate of f/1.9, the secondary sensor sports an aperture rate of f/1.6. The camera features optical image stabilisation along with PDAF, phase detection, auto focus, LED flash etc. The phones come with an 8 MP selfie camera with a wide angle sensor and an aperture rate of f/1.9.
Other features
The smartphones sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor along with connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C USB, 3.5mm jack, FM Radio, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi among others. They are powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and come in New Platinum Grey, New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose colour variants.
