New Delhi, Agencies. Pakistani spy Abid Hussain, who was arrested in Delhi, was trying to get information about the movement of army troops by train. For this, he had also established contact with a railway employee by fake name. But before he could get any important information, the Delhi Police went up.
Delhi Police on Sunday arrested two Pakistan High Commission officials Abid Hussain and Muhammad Tahir for spying when they were trying to get sensitive documents related to India’s security from a person in exchange for money. Police said that Hussain used to work under the cover of many fake identity cards. He kept trying to trap people working in government departments.
According to the police, Abid Hussain became the brother of a media worker by the name of Gautam and established contact with an employee working in the railway. He had told the railway employee that his brother was making a story on the Indian Railways and that he needed information about the movements of trains. His real intention was to trap the railwayman and get information about the movement and hardware of the army through the train.

After the arrest, the two were declared Persona non grata (undated) and asked to leave the country in 24 hours. The two spies returned to Pakistan on Monday via Wagah warders.
At the same time, government sources said that Husain and Muhammad Tahir were not tortured on behalf of Delhi Police and Pakistan’s charge in this regard is baseless.
