Employees Salary Hike: Latest update on DA Arrear of 18 months of employees, 1 crore will get benefit

The Modi government at the Center can take a decision soon on the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months. A decision in this regard can be taken in a meeting with the Cabinet Secretary before Christmas on December 25.


There is great news for Central Employees (Employees Salary Hike). After 31 percent dearness allowance and relief (DA / DR Hike) under the 7th Pay Commission , the Modi government at the Center can take a quick decision on the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months. A decision in this regard can be taken in a meeting with the Cabinet Secretary before Christmas on December 25. If this happens, then about 1 crore i.e. 47.14 lakh employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners will get its benefit.

In fact, after increasing the 31 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief under the 7th Pay Commission and getting its benefit from November, now the DA arrears of 18 months i.e. from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, are due to the Central Employees Pensioner (18 Months). DA Arrears) is awaited. According to media reports, the Council has put forth a demand in front of the government that while restoring DA, one time settlement of pending DA arrears for 18 months should also be done. There is a possibility that after the matter reaches PM Modi, it can be discussed with the Cabinet Secretary in December.


The same Indian Pensioners Forum has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter and direct the Finance Ministry to release the arrears of DA, DR due between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 at the earliest. That it can be decided by December and a hefty salary can come in the account of the employees. It will benefit 1 crore employees and pensioners. According to the Pay Commission report, there are a total of 33 lakh central employees in the country.

Will get benefit of more than 2 lakhs

  1. For example, the DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,000.
  2. Level-13 employees will be given Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 as DA arrears.
  3. The basic salary of the employee is Rs 18,000, he will get three months DA arrears(4,320+3,240+4,320) = Rs 11,880.
  4. The basic salary of the employee is Rs 56,000. He will get DA arrears of 3 months (13,656 + 10,242 + 13,656) = Rs 37,554. ( Also that will see 3 percent DA and HRA decision is so large increase in salary.)
