How to Port Your BSNL Mobile Number to Jio Through Website?

Although you have to carry your address proof and identity proof with you for this, you have to carry them both online and offline. However, let us also tell you that for now the online delivery of SIM is limited to postpaid customers only.

  • For this you have to first go to the Jio website, and here you have to enter your full name and your mobile number.
  • After that you have to click on the Generate OTP button.
  • Now you are going to get an OTP on your same mobile number which you have entered here, it is going to be sent to you through an SMS.
  • After this you have to enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP.
  • Now you are going to see a new screen, where you are going to be asked for information about your address. Here you have to enter your complete address including your locality, pin code, flat/house number and landmark etc.
  • After this, you have to click on the confirm button and press on the submit button and after that you will be able to enter the SIM delivery request.
  • After this, you are going to get a call from Jio, who is going to take an appointment for the delivery of the new SIM from you.
  • Here you have to get information about the MNP facility during this call, and get a UPC i.e. Unique Porting Code generated.
  • You are going to get this by giving PORT space on your mobile, then entering your mobile number and sending it to 1900.


How to port your mobile number to Jio with the help of MyJio app?

You can also port your BSNL mobile number to Jio connection through MyJio app:

  • For this, first you have to go to MyJio app. Here you will see an option, “Not a Jio User”, you have to click on this option.
  • Now you are going to see an option on a new screen here “Port-in to Jio” Click on this option.
  • Now in the app you are going to be asked to enter your full name and mobile number.
  • When you have entered your mobile number and other details here, it tells you that you have to click on the Generate OTP button.
  • Here you have to fill a form, here you have to enter your delivery location details, these include your locality, pin code, and flat or house number etc.
  • Now that you have entered your location details, you have to click on the confirm button.
  • Now you are going to get a call from Jio, in which you are going to be asked for your address information regarding SIM delivery, it can also be said that your address is going to be verified.
  • Here you have to get information about MNP facility from them, and tell them whether you want to port your BSNL number to Jio prepaid or Jio postpaid.
