ATM Transaction Limit: Big news! 20-25 rupees deducted immediately for withdrawing money from ATM, know what is the limit

You will have to pay extra charges for withdrawing your deposited money from ATM

If you often use a debit card in India, then you should be a little careful. This is because at the ATM you have to pay extra charges for withdrawing your money. Whether you are using a public sector bank or a private sector, this rule applies to both types of banks.

Let us tell you that different banks keep their own limit fixed, if someone transacts from ATM more than that limit, then he is charged a charge. In June last year, RBI implemented this rule that if money is withdrawn from ATM even after a fixed free transaction limit, then it will be charged ₹ 21 per withdrawal.

What is the free transaction limit?

Free transaction limit means how many times you can withdraw money from ATM for free. Customers are allowed 5 free withdrawals per month i.e. they can withdraw money from ATMs for free five times in a month. You will be charged for withdrawing money for the sixth time.

On the other hand, you can withdraw money from other bank’s ATMs only three times per month, in non-metro centers you can withdraw money from other bank’s ATMs five times per month.

20-25 rupees charge for withdrawing money

As per the permission of RBI, from August 1, 2022, a charge of Rs 17 per financial transaction and Rs 6 per non-financial transaction can be charged. That is, to withdraw your own deposited money from the bank, a charge of Rs 20-25 will have to be paid.
