7th Pay Commission: There is good news for central employees. His dearness allowance (DA) is going to increase by 3 percent. Along with this, DA arrears are also going to be available.


New Delhi : 7th Pay Commission: There is good news for central employees. His dearness allowance (DA) is going to increase by 3 percent. It can be announced in March. In January 2022, 34 percent dearness allowance of the employees has been fixed. In such a situation, employees can also get DA arrears of 2 months in the salary of March itself.

At present, 31 percent dearness allowance is being received
According to media reports, after Holi, the increase in dearness allowance of central employees will be announced. At present, the employees are getting 31 percent DA. But, it will increase by 3 percent.

AICPI figures have been released
Actually, the data of All India Consumer Price Index i.e. Consumer Price Index (AICPI) for December 2021 has arrived. According to the index of December 2021, 34.04 percent dearness allowance is made.

Since DA is calculated in round figure, it will be 34 per cent.

According to media reports, Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM said that the DA arrears of Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. DA of Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 is made on the employees at level-13 (7th CPC basic pay scale from Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or level-14 (pay scale).

Lakhs of employees will be benefited
On getting the approval of the Union Cabinet, all 45 lakh employees of the Central Government will get the benefit of DA and about 65 lakh pensioners will get the benefit of Dearness Relief (DR).

Know why dearness allowance is given
Let us tell you that DA is given to improve the living conditions of government employees, public sector employees and pensioners.

The reason for giving it is that the standard of living of the employees should remain better even in the rising inflation. It usually changes in January and July.
