Vande Bharat: Southern Railway has announced operation of Vande Bharat special trains between Chennai Central and Coimbatore on March 5 and 12.


Vande Bharat: Demand for Vande Bharat train has increased significantly across the country. Railways is continuously operating Vande Bharat trains on different routes. Vande Bharat train is no less than a celebrity. As soon as people see this train standing on the platform, they start taking selfies with it. Since the operation of this train, there has been a special desire of the passengers that this train passes through their city. Keeping in mind the wishes of the passengers, Railways is starting Vande Bharat in different states of the country.

What is the timing of Vande Bharat Special train?

Railways is going to run special trains of Vande Bharat on the same routes on which this train has already been started. According to The Hindu report, Southern Railway has announced the operation of Vande Bharat Special trains between Chennai Central and Coimbatore on March 5 and 12. This special train will depart from Chennai at 7.10 am and reach Coimbatore at 2.15 pm. In return, this train will depart from Coimbatore at 3.05 pm and reach Chennai Central at 21.50 pm. The train will have eight coaches and will stop at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur.

Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat started last year

Railways had started Vande Bharat train between Chennai and Coimbatore in April last year. The running of this train has reduced the travel time between the capital of Tamil Nadu and the western industrial city. In April last year, PM Modi had flagged off this train from Chennai Central Railway Station.

It completes its journey in 5 hours 50 minutes. In this way, this train is the fastest train running between the two cities. According to the Railways, the operation of this train saved more than an hour in travel time. This train, connecting the two cities of Tamil Nadu, is equipped with the indigenous automatic train protection system ‘Kavach’. Passenger security has been enhanced with CCTV cameras and automatic sliding doors in all coaches. This train also has other features like disabled friendly toilets, seat handle numbers in Braille, modern amenities like LED lights and 360 degree rotatable seats.
