UP Panchayat Elections: 28,000 voters were removed from the voter list in the capital. So far, more than 81,000 names have been added, deleted, or modified.

In view of the three-tier Panchayat elections, voter list revision work is progressing rapidly in Lucknow district. So far, more than 81,000 names have been added, deleted, or modified from the voter list. This entire work is being done online through the e-BLO app to maintain transparency in the process. A total of 28,405 names have been removed during this period.

So far, 11 out of the total 678 deployed BLOs have not fed the data. So far, 8,702 names have been added and 5,685 deleted in Bakshi Ka Talab development block. In Chinhat, 952 names have been added and 673 deleted, in Mal, 5,098 names have been added and 3,305 deleted, in Malihabad, 5,444 names have been added and 2,777 deleted, in Kakori, 860 names have been added and 343 deleted. Similarly, in Sarojini Nagar, 4,389 names have been added and 2,664 deleted and in Mohanlalganj, 7,828 names have been added and 4,935 deleted.

In Gosaiganj, 7,598 names were added and 5,242 were removed. Overall, 81,072 entries have been completed across the district. A total of 678 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are involved in this work, of which 11 have not yet submitted their data through the app. Among the development blocks, Mohanlalganj has the highest number of entries completed, at 27,616, while Bakshi Ka Talab has 16,593. Work is also in the final stages in Sarojini Nagar, Kakori, Mal, and Malihabad.

Status as of September 20-

45,411 new names have been added to the voters list.

28,405 names have been removed.

7,256 names have been amended.
