Indian Railways has decided to reduce the price of Rail Neer bottles following the change in GST slabs. The Railway Ministry posted on X on Saturday, “Travel with health and savings. Mineral-rich water – Rail Neer is now even more affordable.”
The price of a one-liter Rail Neer water bottle has been reduced by one rupee to 14 rupees, while the price of a half-liter bottle has been reduced to 9 rupees. The new rates will be implemented nationwide from September 22.
It’s worth noting that earlier this month, the government revised the tax slabs. Now, only rates of 5% and 18% will apply. However, a separate 40% GST slab has been created for luxury goods. GST will reduce taxes, and the public is expected to benefit significantly. Price reductions have already begun on everything from vehicles to everyday items. The new GST rates will come into effect on September 22nd, the beginning of Navratri.
