UIDAI Free Biometric Aadhaar Update: Almost every citizen in the country has an Aadhaar card. It is an essential document that serves to authenticate a person’s identity. It makes it easy to access benefits from various government schemes.

Furthermore, Aadhaar cards are required for various purposes, from school admissions to scholarships and many other purposes.

Many important information about us is recorded in our Aadhaar card. It contains our biometric and demographic details. Recently, some changes have been made to the rules related to Aadhaar card. Under this, if you update your biometric or demographic details in your Aadhaar card, you will have to pay a higher fee than before. There is also some good news related to Aadhaar: the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has waived the fee for updating Aadhaar biometrics for children.

If you want to update your children’s biometrics, you won’t have to pay any money. This service will be completely free. The free update facility for children’s Aadhaar cards became available on October 1st.

This facility will be effective for one year. Under this initiative, biometric Aadhaar updates for children between the ages of 5 and 17 will now be free. It is estimated that approximately 60 million children will benefit from this decision by the UIDAI.

Whereas, Baal Aadhaar is created for children under the age of 5. Biometric details such as fingerprints or iris scans are not taken for these children. The reason behind this is that children are not fully developed at this age.

It’s essential to update a child’s Aadhaar card after they turn 5 years old. During this time, it’s essential to enter their biometric details into the Aadhaar card. Furthermore, it’s recommended to update their Aadhaar biometrics a second time when they reach the age of 15 to 17.
