UIDAI launched New Service: Aadhaar Card Regulatory Body Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI has started a new service for people on Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology, which will be available 24 hours. Customers can call UIDAI’s toll-free number 1947 at any time to receive updates on their Aadhaar enrollment or updation status, PVC card status or to receive information through SMS.

Interactive Voice Response Services (IVRS) is a 24×7 technology that allows users to interact with a computer operated telephone system. It tries to resolve the queries of the users or forward the call to the right person.

Will get help from Aadhaar Mitra

Meanwhile, UIDAI has also launched a new AI/ML-based chatbot, ‘Aadhaar Mitra’, for better resident experience with features such as Aadhaar enrolment/update status check, Aadhaar PVC card status tracking and enrollment center address information. is introduced. Residents can also register their complaints and track them using the bot.

Address can be changed

The regulator also provides another facility where a person can update the address in Aadhaar card online with the permission of the head of the family. It will ultimately help the citizens to know their parents name, spouse name and in case of absence.

Update on Child Aadhaar

A guideline has also been issued regarding the Aadhaar card of children, which is called Child Aadhaar. According to the fresh guidelines issued by the authority, it is mandatory to update biometric information in the Aadhaar data of children between the age of five and 15 years. UIDAI tweeted and informed that updating biometric details of children aged 5-15 years is mandatory and the process to do so is free.
