Senior Citizen Free Travel: There is good news for senior citizens across the country. According to the latest information, air travel has been made free for senior citizens by the government. Let’s know what is the complete update


New Delhi, There are many schemes for senior citizens across the country, in which they get better facilities than the common people. In such a situation, there are many more facilities, which are given to senior citizens and now another state has given them free air travel as well. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that senior citizens of the state will have the option of traveling by air on pilgrimage from next month under a government scheme. He made this announcement on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas in Bhind and the launch of development journey of Chambal division.

Senior citizens in this state will be able to travel by flights under the state pilgrimage scheme from March.

Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme

The birthplace of Saint Ravidas will also be included in this government pilgrimage scheme named Mukhyamantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana’, eligible senior citizens above the age of 60 years can travel to any of the listed pilgrimage places at government expenses.

Addressing the gathering, Chouhan also said that Bhind, which currently has a municipal council, would be upgraded to a municipal corporation and the city would also get a medical college..

The CM said the ‘Vikas Yatra’ would visit all wards and villages of the state and provide benefits of government schemes to eligible people, while also inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects.
