In Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, holidays have been declared for three consecutive days this week in all government and private schools. Due to religious festivals and regular weekly holidays, children are getting a long weekend, due to which a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the students.

First holiday: 5 September (Friday) – Barawafat

week begins with an important Muslim festival Barawafat, which is also known as Eid Milad-un-Nabi. All schools in Moradabad will remain closed on this occasion. This festival is celebrated as the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Saheb of Islam and on this day the message of communal harmony and peace is given. Keeping the festival in mind, the school administration has declared a holiday on Friday.

Second Holiday: 6 September (Saturday) – Anant Chaturdashi

Anant Chaturdashi, a major festival of Hinduism, will be celebrated on the very next day of Baravafat. This day is especially known for Ganesh Visarjan. Devotees come out on the streets in large numbers to bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa seated in homes and pandals. Due to the crowd of the festival and participation in the event, all schools will remain closed on Saturday as well.

Third holiday: 7 September (Sunday) – Weekly holiday

As schools are closed on Sunday anyway, children have got a comfortable break of three consecutive days (5, 6, and 7 September). These three days will not only give students a chance to celebrate festivals, but they will also be able to spend quality time with their families.

Classes will resume from 8 September (Monday)

The school administration has made it clear that normal studies will resume in all schools from Monday, September 8. Parents have been informed to take special care of children’s studies and routine during the holidays, so that they can easily return to their academic work after the break.
