The trial of the sleeper Vande Bharat Express was conducted on the 540 km long route between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This was the prototype Vande Bharat. During the trial, many more scope of improvements were found in this rake. Since Indian Railways is making efforts to provide better facilities to the passengers, it was decided to update this rake and equip it with better facilities. This new rake was prepared at ICF, Chennai.
These changes happened
According to a senior official of the Railway Ministry, this will be completely different from the existing Rajdhani, Tejas and other premium trains. For example, the third middle berth has a chain but it was decided to make a change in Vande Bharat. Since this pattern has become old. Then wires were installed instead of prototype chains. During the trial, the railway officials felt that the wire may cause inconvenience during the journey. Therefore, better arrangements have been made by removing the wire.
The new Vande Bharat will be replaced by the prototype
According to Railway Ministry officials, the new sleeper Vande Bharat Express will be completely different from the prototype train. All the flaws that were noticed during the trial have been removed. Hence, the trial sleeper Vande Bharat Express will not run in the inauguration.
What will be its route
According to the Railway Ministry, its route is not yet decided but it is believed that it will run between two routes, Delhi Mumbai and Delhi Kolkata. There is a high possibility that it will run between Delhi and Kolkata because elections are going to be held in Bihar. The Delhi Kolkata route will pass through Bihar. Apart from this, there are elections in West Bengal next year. Therefore, the chances of this route are high. The train may run at the end of this month and then again at the beginning of next month.
