If your ration card is lost or torn somewhere or due to any other reason it is no longer in use, then you may have to face problems. But there is no need to worry about it. There is a way for this, through which you can easily get a new ration card.





Ration card is useful as a document along with providing ration at low cost. It is used in many government works. It is required in making many important documents including income certificate and residence certificate. In such a situation, if your ration card is lost, torn or due to any other reason, it is no longer in use, then you may have to face problems. But there is no need to panic about it. There is a way for this, through which you can easily get a new ration card.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has tied up with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to streamline ration distribution and strengthen PDS in semi-urban and rural areas across the country. Under this, 3.7 lakh Common Service Centers will be opened across the country. People will get huge benefit under this scheme. Under this, about 23.64 crore ration holders will get benefit. People’s problems will be resolved at CSC centers.





You can get a new ration card
made here. The ration distribution system will be updated here for the ration card holders. Also a second application will be made for the lost ration card. Any ration or ration card related problem will also be solved here. Here the Aadhar card will also be linked with the ration card. Apart from this, any kind of complaint like lack of ration or disturbances in the arrangement of ration will also be registered. Consumers can visit their nearest CSC and update their card details, get duplicate print of their card, check ration availability status and register themselves.

Government help will reach the people
Dinesh Tyagi, Managing Director, CSC e-Governance Services India said, “After the tie-up with the Department of Food and Public Distribution, Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who run CSCs will be able to reach out to those without ration cards. and be able to help them. Public distribution system for free ration and access to various government schemes. Apart from this, people will also be able to inform about the schemes and solve them. Tyagi also said that for this CSC will conduct training of fair price shop dealers on providing these services. Along with this, the work of building their capacity will also be done.



Free ration is being given by the government
Free ration is being given to the people by the Prime Minister since July last year. Crores of people are getting benefit from this. In some states like UP, ration was being given free of cost at the time of Covid.
