In September 2020, orders were given to the Railways by DoPT that the employees whose salary is less than Rs 43,600 under the 7th Pay Commission. So only they will be given the benefit of night allowance. After this order, the allowance of employees with more than this salary has been stopped immediately by the Railways.
8 thousand employees will get the benefit of Night Duty Allowance
According to the information, if Night Duty Allowance is applicable to all employees from October 2022. So in Rajasthan Railway, about 8 thousand employees will get arrears of about Rs 125 crore.
