IRCTC: If you also often travel by train, then this news is useful for you. Many times passengers have to stand in long queues to get train tickets. But now to get rid of this, the rules of ticket booking have been changed by the Railways. Under this change, the Railway Ministry has increased the distance covered for booking unreserved tickets through the app.

Passengers’ time will be saved
After this change, you can book tickets even if you are far away from the station from where you have to start your journey. This discount available in unreserved tickets will save the time of passengers. Passengers will get rid of standing in long queues to get tickets. In fact, till now you could book unreserved tickets through the app from 2 km away from the journey starting station.

Change made for this reason

Now the distance of two km has been increased to 20 km. It has come to the notice of the Railway Board that when there is a distance of two km from the station, many times there is a problem of mobile network disappearing. Because of this, passengers could not book train tickets even if they wanted to. For this reason, this distance has now been increased from 2 km to 20 km by the ministry.

What is the new system
Under the new system, for non-suburban classes, instead of five kilometers, unreserved tickets can be booked from a distance of 20 kilometers. Apart from this, this distance has been increased from 2 km to 5 km for booking tickets for suburban section. After the introduction of this facility, now the passengers will get rid of long queues for tickets after reaching the station.
