The central government may soon increase the dearness allowance of central employees by up to 4 percent and this increase is likely to happen in the month of January.

Know how much will increase in DA?

Recently, there is a tremendous increase in the data of the AICPI index. The increase in dearness allowance depends on the data of the AICPI index. If there is a positive increase in this, then there is a strong possibility of increase in dearness allowance.


In this context, in the month of January, an increase of 4 percent can be seen in the dearness allowance of central employees. At present, the central employees are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 38 percent, which can increase to 42 percent.

Know how much will be the increase in salary?

After the increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance, the minimum wage of central employees may see an increase of Rs 720, while the maximum salary may see an increase of Rs 2,276 per month.

Bounce seen in AICPI figures

The Labor Ministry has recently released the figures of AICPI. According to these figures, this figure stood at 131.2 in the month of September. If the September figures are compared with the June figures, then the AICPI index has seen an increase of 2.1 per cent. On the other hand, if we compare it with the figures of August, then an increase of 1.1 per cent has been seen in the AICPI index.

There will be such an increase in the annual salary

The salary of central employees is likely to increase by 4 percent in January 2023. In this context, such employees who are getting the minimum basic salary of Rs 18,000 per month, can see an increase of Rs 8,640 in their annual salary.

On the other hand, if the maximum basic salary is calculated at Rs 56,900 per month, then an increase of Rs 27,312 will be seen in the annual salary.
