The central government has taken a step further for the disinvestment of Air India.

New Delhi: The Central Government has taken a step forward for the disinvestment of Air India. The government has said that it has received financial bids from several groups including Tata Sons for disinvestment in Air India.


Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management, tweeted on Wednesday that the government has received several proposals for disinvestment in Air India. Now after considering these according to the rules, a decision will be taken.

The government wants to sell 100 percent of its stake. The government has 100 percent stake in AI Express Ltd and 50 percent stake in Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited.
