Holding limit exhausted
In the beginning of PM Kisan Yojana, only those farmers were considered eligible, who had cultivable cultivation of 2 hectares or 5 acres. But now the Modi government has removed this compulsion so that 14.5 crore farmers can get its benefit.
Ration card has to be uploaded
Now it has been made necessary to submit the ration card for new registration under PM Kisan Yojana. Along with this, a soft copy of the ration card will also have to be made and uploaded on the portal. Only after investigation, the husband, wife or any member of the family will get the benefit of this scheme. If you have already registered in PM Kisan, then you will have to upload the ration card number on the website.
Aadhar card required
Only those farmers who have Aadhaar will get the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Without Aadhaar, you cannot take advantage of this scheme. The government has made Aadhar card mandatory for the beneficiaries.
Registration facility
In order to ensure that maximum number of farmers get the benefit of this scheme, the Modi government has abolished the compulsion to make rounds of the accountants, kanungos and agricultural officers. Now farmers can easily register themselves sitting at home. If you have Khatauni, Aadhar card, mobile number and bank account number, then you can register yourself by going to the Farmer’s Corner at pmkisan.nic.in. Also, if there is any mistake, then you can rectify it yourself.
Know your status now
The government has made the biggest change for the convenience of the farmers that you can check your status yourself after registration. Now you can check your own application status, how much installment has arrived in your bank account. By visiting PM Kisan Portal, any farmer can get status information by entering his Aadhaar number, mobile or bank account number.
Kisan credit card
Now Kisan Credit Card (KCC) has also been added under this scheme. Beneficiaries of PM Kisan can easily get KCC made. Farmers also get loans up to Rs 3 lakh on KCC at 4 per cent.
Benefits of Maandhan Scheme
Farmers taking benefit of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi will no longer have to provide any documents for PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Under this scheme, farmers can choose to contribute directly from the benefits received from the PM-Kisan scheme. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, the government is trying to provide benefits to the farmers in every way.
