What are the ticket cancellation rules?
According to railway rules, if you have a confirmed ticket and you want to cancel your reserved ticket but less than 4 hours are left for the train to leave, then you will not get anything as refund. If you have more than 4 hours left, you can get a refund of up to 50%. That is, if you want to cancel the ticket, then definitely take special care of the time.
If the ticket is confirmed and the ticket is canceled between 12 hours and 48 hours before the departure of the train, then the Railways will charge a minimum of 25 percent of the ticket value on each passenger or Rs 60 per passenger in case of cancellation of the ticket, whichever is higher.
