What is UPI Lite?
UPI Lite is an on-device wallet. To use it, you have to put money from your bank account in the wallet of the app. Due to the on-device wallet, it does not use the internet for real time payments. Also, there will be no need to enter a PIN. Transactions can be done through offline mode.
But only small payments will have to be made from this. Its limit has been made only 200 rupees. You can keep a balance of up to Rs 2,000 in the on-device wallet. It can be used unlimited. UPI Lite has been enabled and many banks have been included.
How to add balance
You will need internet to add balance. After adding balance through online mode, you will be able to make offline payment. Balance can also be added using UPI Autopay. Overall, users will be able to make fast and easy payments through UPI Lite.
