Copenhagen (Denmark). While a large number of health workers and other warriors are engulfed in the war that started in Corona, Denmark has found a successful solution. The University of Southern Denmark has developed the world’s first fully automatic robot, according to news agency AFP. This alone is capable of testing the Kovid-19. Because of this, health workers can directly avoid getting caught.
Researchers who built this robot say that to detect corona virus infection in a person, from blood test to swob test. The swab test is sampled by placing a long earbud-like swab inside the nose or throat, but the sample taker is at risk of becoming infected. On the other hand, this test is considered very effective for its investigation. The results from this are quite accurate.
This robot, made by Danish researchers, can be put into use from June. The biggest feature of this robot is that it is designed with the help of a 3D printer. The process regarding the corona test is the same as that of a human. This robot used to put a swob in the mouth of the patient sitting in front of him. By taking a sample, the robot itself puts the swab in the test tube and closes it with a lid. His team of ten researchers, including Theusius Rajit Sawaramuthu, were involved in making this robot.
Rajeet was very happy to see the first test done by this robot. The robot comfortably transported the swob to the patient’s throat. This is a big success in his eyes. Professor Rajit’s team, in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, designed the robot in the Industry 4.0 lab. It took them a month.
Let me tell you that ever since this deadly epidemic started taking the world under its control, the World Health Organization has been insisting on getting more and more tests done. But the more tests that are being done, the more the danger on health workers is increasing. Many health workers all over the world are in the grip of it. In such a situation, this robot can prove to be very helpful. Professor Rajit says that this robot will benefit not only in case of corona virus, but also in other such diseases occurring in future. This will also test general flu.
It is worth noting that since this deadly disease spread across the world, health workers are working day and night to carry out their work. In such a situation, they are also facing many problems. A major reason for this is the PPE kit worn by health workers. It is not reused once used. In this case, they have to work longer than the same kit. Wearing this kit is also not allowed to go to the toilet or eat some food.
At the same time, if you talk about robots, it can work for hours without stopping. After its creation, it is expected that such robots will be installed at airports so that more number of tests can be possible without endangering the health workers. It may take three to four months for this prototype to be mass-produced.
