New Expressway: Delhiites are going to get a new route. This will complete the journey of about an hour and a quarter in just 15 minutes. This way half an hour will be saved. This route is going to start by July. Which will provide relief to thousands of drivers. This will save both time and money.

Delhi Dehradun Expressway is not only awaited by the people going towards Dehradun and Saharanpur, but thousands of drivers who travel daily from Delhi to UP border are also waiting for its start. The latest update has come regarding this expressway. People of Delhi, especially East Delhi, have been waiting for it for a long time. After its start, those going from Delhi to UP border and Dehradun will get huge relief. When is it likely to start and what work is left now. Know everything-

According to the Ministry of Road Transport, Delhi – Dehradun is 212 km. The construction of Greenfield Access Controlled Expressway is being done starting from Akshardham in Delhi to Dehradun via Khekra, Shamli, Saharanpur. The work of the initial part of 31.6 km from Akshardham to EPE Crossing (Khekra) has been completed. NHAI has started the trial after the completion of the work and preparations are being made to open it.

Reaching UP border will be easy

After the start of this highway, it will be easy for the drivers to reach the UP border from Delhi. It will take only 15 minutes. Drivers will come from Nizamuddin to Akshardham via Delhi Meerut Expressway. After this, they will be able to reach the border via Delhi Dehradun Access Controlled Expressway.

It will be 18 km elevated

Delhi-Dehradun is a 212 km long access controlled expressway. In this, an 18 km long elevated road has been built from Akshardham to Loni border. 13 km is on the ground. Along with the 6-lane road, a 6-lane service road has also been constructed. The stretch from Akshardham to Khekra is elevated.

Benefit to the people living in this area

After this starts, people going towards Ghaziabad’s Loni and Shamli, Baghpat apart from Geeta Colony, Wazirabad, Sonia Vihar, Yamuna Vihar, Shastri Park, Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar will get relief. These people currently have to go through Pushta Road or Seelampur while getting stuck in traffic jams.

NHAI gave an update

NHAI Delhi Region’s RO Mohammed Saifi said that the construction of the elevated road till the UP border has been completed. Its testing work has been completed and its report will come in 15 days. After this, it is likely to start. In this way, the access control expressway can be started in the end of June or beginning of July.
