CBDT released data
The Income Tax Department has released the figures by tweeting on Thursday. The ITR said that, ‘CBDT has issued refunds of Rs 1,93,720 crore to 2.26 crore taxpayers during April 1, 2021 to March 20, 2022. This includes personal income tax refund of Rs 70,977 crore and corporate tax refund of Rs 1,22,744 crore.

How to check Income Tax Refund Status?
To check the taxpayers refund status, you have to follow the steps given below. After that your problem will be solved.
- First of all go to www.incometax.gov.in.
- Login using User ID and Password.
- Click on ‘e-filing’ and select ‘Income Tax Return’.
- Click on ‘View File Return’.
- ETR details will be displayed on the screen.
