Indian Railways New service: Now passengers will be able to sleep without worry of leaving the station, Railways starts wake up alert facility

Destination alert service: IRCTC has currently provided this facility from 11 pm to 7 am.



Destination alert service: Passengers will now be able to sleep in the train without worrying about missing the station. Railways has started wakeup alert facility for long distance passengers. Under this, the passenger will be informed about it 20 minutes before the arrival of the destination station.

In another addition to the services of its passengers, Indian Railways has introduced the Destination Alert Wakeup Alarm facility. Many times during the journey, due to sleep or any other reason, the station of the passengers is left behind or jumps. This happens more during night travel. Therefore, the railway has now started the Destination Alert Wakeup Alarm facility.

In fact, alarm service has been started on behalf of the Railways on the inquiry service of number 139 through IVRS. Passengers can ask for the facility of alert on the inquiry system number 139. The passenger taking this facility is called 20 minutes in advance and is informed about his destination station.

This is the process for destination alert

According to the Railways, for this, the passenger will first have to call or message from the mobile number 139 of IRCTC’s partner venture IRCTC. The language has to be selected when the call is received. After that, for the destination alert, first 7 numbers and then 2 numbers have to be pressed. After this, a 10-digit PNR number will be asked from the passenger. Then after dialing the PNR number, 1 has to be dialed to confirm. After this process, the system will verify the PNR number and feed the wakeup alert for the destination station. After this, SMS of confirmation will be received on the mobile.

Have to pay so much charge

Under which a wakeup call will come on the mobile 20 minutes before the arrival of the destination station. To avail this facility, the passenger will be charged an SMS charge of Rs 3 per alert. It is worth noting that at present, IRCTC has made this facility available from 11 pm to 7 am.
