In view of this, the Central Railway has collected a fine of about 200 crore rupees in the investigation of those traveling without tickets in about 350 days. Out of this, the maximum amount of Rs 66 crore has been recovered from Mumbai zone. It is followed by Bhusaval, Nagpur, Solapur and Pune.

According to the latest data released by the Central Railway, from April 2021 to March 16, 2022 i.e. in about a year, Rs 200.85 crore has been collected as fine from passengers traveling without tickets in trains, which is all divisions of Indian Railways. More than. However, due to the COVID restrictions, many trains are not being run at present. Nevertheless, the Central Railway has caught a total of 33.30 lakh people without tickets during this period.

In this case, the Mumbai Division of Central Railway has registered a record, where 12.93 lakh passengers without tickets and irregular travel have been caught without tickets. From whom Rs 66.84 crore has been recovered. It is followed by Bhusaval, which has caught 8.15 lakh cases and recovered Rs 58.75 crore from them.

After this Nagpur division has recovered Rs 33.32 crore from 5.03 lakh cases of irregular travel. Solapur division has collected Rs 19.42 crore from irregular 3.36 lakh cases passengers. Pune division has detected 2.05 lakh cases of irregular travel and recovered Rs 10.05 crore from them.

Apart from this, 56,443 persons have been fined Rs 88.78 lakh during this period for violating Covid compliant behavior and not wearing masks.
