The level of pollution here today is also in very bad category. Yellow alert has been issued in West and South-West Delhi. There is an orange alert for fog in North Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, Central Delhi, East Delhi, South East Delhi and South Delhi. There is also orange alert in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar of Uttar Pradesh.

From December 26 to December 28, dense to very dense fog can be seen in these areas. Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh are also going to remain under the influence of fog for the next two days. In this way, almost half of India seems to be immersed in dense fog.

Chances of rain in these states including Tamil Nadu

The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain between December 30 and January 1. The report said that the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu are in the grip of north-easterly winds and there are chances of rain. Apart from this, the weather is also going to deteriorate in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the next 5 days. Badra may rain in different parts of these states. However, light to moderate rain is expected during this period. In such a situation, the minimum temperature may drop on the occasion of New Year. New Year celebrations may also be a bit dull.

Minimum temperature continues to fall in Kashmir

The minimum temperature continues to fall in most parts of Kashmir. Dense fog disrupted daily life in the valley on Tuesday morning. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 2.3 degrees Celsius on Monday, slightly lower than the previous night’s minus 2.1 degrees, officials said. The weather department said the weather is likely to remain mainly dry till the end of the month. Traffic on the roads in Srinagar was lighter than normal in the morning while vehicles were seen moving slowly due to low visibility. A Srinagar airport official said some flights from Delhi were delayed due to poor visibility in the national capital.
