These people will no longer have to take separate tokens to travel in Delhi Metro and Noida Metro. Rather, travel facility will be available with a single QR code based token.
Noida Metro Rail Corporation MD and Noida Authority CEO Lokesh Meena will soft launch the common QR ticket between the two metros on September 11. After this, passengers will be able to travel on Delhi Metro and Noida Aqua Line by purchasing a single QR ticket.
Let us tell you that till now passengers needed separate tokens or tickets for Delhi Metro and Noida Metro because both these metros are operated by different corporations. While Delhi Metro is run by DMRC, Noida Metro is run by NMRC. However, now one QR ticket will be used in both these metros. That is, now one can travel in the entire NCR with a single QR ticket.
Let us tell you that the Blue Line, which is said to be the busiest line of the metro, connects Delhi and Noida, which further reaches various parts of Noida through the Aqua Line. Due to the large number of passengers, work is also going on on an integrated solution One App, One Card so that instead of using a token or card of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) for Aqua Line of Noida and a separate card of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for Delhi Metro, travel can be possible with a single card.
