Next year 98.9 percent of companies will increase the salary of their employees. At the same time, in 2021, 97.5 percent of the companies have said to increase the salary of the employees.


The survey said sentiment across sectors is positive and Indian companies are on a revival path. Most companies believe that in 2021-22, the wage increase will reach the level of 2018-19. This is a strong sign of financial health and a boom in the economy, said Rupank Choudhary, Partner, Human Capital Business, Aon. Clearly things are getting better. The salary increase in 2020 was 6.1 percent.


It is expected to reach 8.8 percent in 2021 and 9.4 percent in 2022. This will be at par with the pre-pandemic levels of 2018 and 2019. The survey said that the pandemic has accelerated the digital journey of companies and has led to a war for digital talent in the short term.
