Gold and silver in futures trading

On Monday, the price of gold jumped by Rs 47 to Rs 63,610 per 10 grams. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 47, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 63,610 per 10 gram with a turnover of 14,847 lots.

In futures trade on Monday, the price of silver increased by Rs 36 to Rs 72,314 per kg. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery rose Rs 36, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 72,314 per kg in 21,802 lots.

Gold in global market

In international markets, gold spot on Comex was trading at US$ 2,084 an ounce, which is US$ 2 higher than its previous close. However, silver was trading at $ 23.09 an ounce. In its previous close it had closed at US $ 23.12 an ounce.
