This process ensures accurate vehicle information is updated in the FASTag system and eliminates issues like double deductions or scanning errors.
No Fee for KYV
Many people assume that banks or agents charge a fee for KYV, but the entire process is completely free. The purpose of KYV is to update the correct vehicle information in the system so that toll deductions are accurate and error-free.
What if KYV is not done?
Failing to do KYV can lead to several problems related to FASTag. Tolls can cause your vehicle to be stopped, the wrong amount deducted, or problems like a blocked FASTag. Therefore, it’s important to complete the process on time.
How to do FASTag KYV?
- Open your FASTag bank or provider’s app/website.
- Select the KYV / Vehicle Verification option.
- Upload clear photos of the vehicle, with the FASTag clearly visible on the windshield.
- Scan your RC and fill in the remaining details.
- Submit.
This process typically takes 5–7 days to complete on the back end. The status is received via SMS or email and can also be tracked on the portal/app.
