PF Update: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) members can now easily check their Provident Fund (EPF) balance. EPFO has started many facilities, so that its members can easily track their balance. At the same time, for any other details, its members can login to the official website of EPFO, epfindia.gov.in.
Check EPFO balance like this through e-seva portal
You can check your PF balance on the e-Seva portal using your active Universal Account Number. At the same time, with the help of this site, you can also download and print your e-passbook.
- For this, go to www.epfindia.gov.in and select the option of ‘Our Services’ under ‘Our Employees’ from the dropdown menu.
- Then under ‘Services’ select ‘Member Passbook’, where you will have to enter your UAN number and password to view the passbook.
- This service will require an activated UAN, which will not be available if your employer has not activated your Universal Account Number.
- If you do not have UAN, then visit epfoservices.in/epfo/ and select your state before going to your office link.
- After entering your PF account number, name and registered mobile number, click on ‘Submit’. After this you will be able to see how much amount is in your PF account.
Check balance through SMS
Apart from missed call, EPFO members can check PF balance by sending SMS. For this, the EPFO member has to send SMS in the format of EPFOHO<UAN> <LAN> to 7738299899. Keep in mind that the last three characters in SMS are the first three letters of the preferred language. At the same time, send SMS from the same mobile number which is registered with UAN.
Check EPF balance by missed call
One of the easiest ways is to check EPF balance by missed call. EPFO members can check their PF balance details by giving a missed call on 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number.

First of all login to UMANG app and then go to user EPFO. Then click on ‘Employee Centric Services’ here. After that select the option ‘view passbook’. Now login with UAN to view passbook.
