According to the possible order to be issued by the Transport Department of Delhi Government, the vehicles whose documents have expired from February 1, 2020 till today, will be considered valid till November 30. Once the official order in this regard is issued, guidelines will be issued to the concerned departments including all the licensing officers.

In view of the situation of COVID-19, the Delhi government had declared such documents valid till 30 September. This decision was taken in view of an advisory of the ministry. A Delhi government official said that the Transport Department has issued orders whenever the validity period of vehicle-related documents was extended since the Kovid-19 epidemic started in March 2020. Officials said that even though the central government does not issue advisory, the Delhi government can issue orders.





The official, however, reiterated that this moratorium is not for pollution control certificates and vehicle owners will be required to obtain pollution control certificates of their vehicles as they will be fined Rs 10,000 for not having valid documents, with a fine of three months.
