DA Hike: Increase in dearness allowance of these employees, Finance Ministry’s order issued, effective from October 1, amount in the account will increase.

The dearness allowance of the employees has been increased by the Central Government. Its orders have been issued by the Finance Ministry. The rates of dearness allowance of CPSE IDA employees of 1987 and 1992 have been revised.



DA Hike, Employees DA Hike: The benefit of increase in dearness allowance has once again been sent to the employees. Orders for this have also been issued by the Finance Ministry of the Central Government. Under the order issued, IDA scale employees of CPSEs will be given the benefit of increased dearness allowance.

Pursuant to the order issued by the Finance Ministry, the rates of Dearness Allowance of CPSE officers and non-unionized supervisors below the Board level posts following the IDA pattern of pay scales of 1987 and 1992 have been revised.

Increase in DA of personnel following IDA pattern

The amendment in dearness allowance will come into effect from October 1, 2023. The average AICPI index for the quarter June 2023 to August 2023 has been recorded at 9100. Under this, dearness allowance for various pay categories has been recorded at 728 percent on October 1, 2023.

The rates of minimum dearness allowance will be as follows:-

  • For those with basic pay up to Rs 3500, the rate of dearness allowance is 728% or a minimum of Rs 16002.
  • For basic pay more than Rs 3500 and less than Rs 6500, minimum salary is Rs 25480 or 546 percent of the salary.
  • 436% of salary above ₹6500 and up to ₹9500 or minimum of ₹35490.
    For those above Rs 9500, 364 percent of the salary will be paid, while a minimum of Rs 41496 will be paid.
  • The dearness allowance allowances for IDA pay scales have been revised on the basis of 1987 and 1992 CPSEs. These rates have become effective from October 1, 2023.
  • In such a situation, the employees will be paid salary along with increased dearness allowance in the month of November.
