DA Hike and Diwali Bonus in UP: The Yogi government is preparing to give a double gift to 28 lakh employees and pensioners of the state before Diwali. The government can give Diwali bonus and dearness allowance to employees and pensioners simultaneously. The Finance Department has made a proposal in this regard and sent it to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. As soon as the proposal is approved, the increased dearness allowance can be received before Diwali. The maximum limit of bonus is proposed to be Rs.7 thousand.

The government is currently paying dearness allowance at the rate of 28 per cent of the basic pay. With the increase in dearness allowance by 3 percent, this rate will become 31 percent. Sources in the government say that the state government can give an increased dearness allowance of 3 percent before Diwali. It is proposed to give it in cash in November along with the salary of October.

State employees will get the benefit of dearness allowance for the month of July from July itself. The amount from July to September will be given in the form of arrears or through provident fund accounts and other savings certificates. The government will take a decision on this. Along with this, dearness relief for pensioners is also expected to be announced by the government. If this happens, then lakhs of pensioners of Uttar Pradesh will get a lot of relief.



Proposal Ready

The Finance Department has prepared a proposal to give bonus to non-gazetted state employees, daily wage earners and work-charged employees. This proposal has been sent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through the Finance Minister. The Chief Minister’s order is awaited. Also, the circular of the central government is awaited to prepare the dearness allowance file. As soon as the circular for increase in dearness allowance is received, its file will be ready in the state also.

Only Rs 1,727 of bonus will be available

The Finance Department has prepared a proposal to give one month ad-hoc bonus to non-gazetted employees. As before, it is proposed to send 25 percent of the bonus in cash and 75 percent in GPF. The maximum limit of ad-hoc bonus is Rs.7 thousand. That is, 30 days bonus can be got Rs 6908. If only 25 percent of the employees were paid in cash, then out of Rs.6908 of the bonus, only Rs.1727 would be in hand. More than 12 lakh gazetted employees with grade pay up to Rs 4800 will get its benefit.
