BMW 6 Series 50 Jahre M Edition: German luxury car manufacturer BMW on Thursday launched the ’50 Jahre M Edition’ of the BMW 6 Series in India. Its ex-showroom price is Rs 72.9 lakh. The automaker said in a statement that the limited model has been launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, a subsidiary of BMW AG.
To be manufactured at Chennai plant
The company said that it will be manufactured locally at BMW’s Chennai plant, where the petrol variant of its exclusive edition BMW 630i M Sport will be made. The vehicle will be available in limited numbers for the customers and the bespoke model can be booked online through the company’s portal from Thursday.

The company said that the executive sedan of the BMW 6 Series comes with the practicality of a crossover and the dynamics of a sports car.
This model comes with a 2-litre petrol engine that produces a maximum output of 258 hp which accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds.
BMW India recently announced that it will launch 10 units of ’50 Jahre M Editions’ to celebrate its sub-brand M.
