If the cylinder bursts or leaks, causing a fire, then in case of major damage, the customer can get financial assistance of up to Rs 50 lakh. Insurance companies have agreements with gas companies. Under which this facility of insurance is provided to the customers.
If a fire occurs after a gas explosion or leak, the gas companies are held responsible for the accident. As a rule, each cylinder should be completely secure without any drawbacks. The entire responsibility lies with the dealers and gas companies.
If a person dies in an accident or gets injured from a gas cylinder, then he gets financial help from gas companies. A maximum of Rs 50 lakh is paid for each accident. 10 lakh per person is paid.
If a person dies in an accident, the gas companies pay a maximum of Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the customer concerned. In addition, Rs 25,000 per person is provided by the gas company as immediate relief after the accident.
One lakh rupees compensation is given by the gas companies for any damage to the house due to accident, fire or explosion. If there is any accident or damage due to domestic gas cylinder, then it is the responsibility of the gas companies to help them.
To make an insurance claim, the customer has to inform the gas dealer immediately after the accident. A complaint has also been made to the local police station. The gas dealer has given the report after inspecting the spot. After this, action is taken for financial assistance.
