Ayushman cards: Big news! Now Ayushman cards will be made only at the ration shops, know the whole process

Antyodaya card holders of Gorakhpur will no longer have to wander to get Ayushman card made. His Ayushman card will be made only at the quota shops near the house. VLEs have been authorized for this.


About 250 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) of the district will have to make Ayushman card by sitting at the quota shop. A meeting was held on Thursday in the Annexe auditorium. DM Vijay Kiran Anand and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Dubey gave detailed guidelines in the meeting. About 4.83 lakh members of 1.28 lakh Antyodaya card holders of the district have been linked to the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Only 78 thousand cards are made relative to five lakhs

Dr. Anil Kumar Singh, the nodal officer of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, said that about 1.28 lakh Antyodaya families are associated with the scheme, in which 78,325 Ayushman cards have been made against 4.83 lakh members. VLEs play an important role in making the card available to more and more beneficiaries. It was clarified in the meeting that the licenses of VLEs who do not produce the required cards can also be cancelled. Along with distribution of ration card, Ayushman card will be made for all the people.

There are 28 government and 78 private hospitals registered in the district.

He told that a VLE looks after three to four different villages. If he registers eligible beneficiaries from the quota shop, then Antyodaya card holders will be able to get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat scheme. Under this scheme, the beneficiary family is given the facility of free treatment up to five lakh rupees in the affiliated hospital. By having the card in advance, the verification of the beneficiary is done easily.

He can get treatment from any affiliated hospital in the country. Dr. Singh informed that 28 government and 78 private hospitals are providing service under the scheme in the district. About 47500 people have got free treatment benefits under the scheme. District coordinator of the scheme Dr. Sanchita Mall, District Grievance Manager Vinay Pandey and District Information System Manager Shashank Shekhar were present in the meeting.
