7th Pay Commission: Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation of Uttar Pradesh is big for the employees. After the announcement of the strike, the Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation has accepted the demand of the employees union and decided to give the benefit of 7th pay scale. Now from July, the employees of the Municipal Corporation will get the benefit of 7th pay scale.



In fact, two days ago, the Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation Employees Union had announced a strike from Monday, June 6, demanding payment of the seventh pay scale, increase in the wages of daily and contract laborers and payment of the arrears of the difference. For this, today the employees under the banner of the Municipal Corporation Employees Union locked down the office and then started protesting outside the office of the Municipal Commissioner. After the uproar and protest, talks were held between Municipal Commissioner Vivek Ranjan Maitreya and the delegation of Municipal Corporation Employees Union and all the demands have been agreed, after which the employees have called off the strike.

According to media reports, in the meeting, it has been decided to give 7th pay scale to the permanent employees of the Municipal Corporation from the month of July. The same has also been announced for an increase of Rs 40 in the daily wages of daily laborers, additional and contract workers. According to the agreement, in the light of the decision of the Urban Development and Housing Department and the decision of the empowered standing committee and board, the permanent employees of the corporation will be given the seventh pay scale from the month of July after completing all the necessary procedures.


According to media reports, it has been said in the agreement that daily remuneration, additional and outsourcing personnel working in the corporation will be given 40 rupees per day as welfare allowance in addition to the daily remuneration per working day. Tax collection will be done by running the same special campaign so that the arrear salary amount can be paid in a phased manner.
