If the index stays up to 131.4 points, there will be an increase of 3 percent. However, the correct estimate can be made only when the numbers for the rest of the months come.

If we look at the current figures, there will be an increase of 3 percent in dearness allowance. With this, there will be a good increase in the salary of central employees. DA expert Harishankar Tiwari believes that it is too early to calculate dearness allowance. But, the rise in the index indicates that there is good news for the employees on the dearness allowance front. If the index increases, then their dearness allowance will definitely increase.

Who releases the figures?
