By increasing Dearness Allowance, Travel Allowance, City Allowance will also increase automatically. Apart from this, there will also be a big jump in Provident Fund and Gratuity. If this happens, the total salary will also increase.
1- The amount of PF will increase
According to Kartik Jhaveri, Wealth Management Director at Transcend Consultants, the monthly PF and gratuity of central employees is calculated from Basic + DA. If DA increases then PF, Gratuity will also increase.
2- Gratuity will increase
According to Zaveri, DA has increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. In the last one year, there has been a simultaneous increase of 17 percent in the DA of central employees. Before June 2021, the dearness allowance (DA total hike) was at 17 per cent. Now 34 percent has been reached. In such a situation, the amount of EPF and gratuity has also increased. His monthly EPF and gratuity contribution has increased.
3- Increase in Travel Allowance (TA)
According to Zaveri, the effect of increasing DA also affects TA. If DA has become 34 percent then TA will also be increased.
4- Benefit to the pensioner
Central government pensioners will also get the benefit of increase in Dearness Relief (DR) under 7th Pay Commission. His DR has also increased to 34 percent. In such a situation, the monthly pension of the pensioners will increase.
Dearness Allowance Hike to be changed again in July
According to RK Nigam, General Secretary of State Employees Joint Council, the next change will be in July 2022. The current figures do not appear in favor of the next hike. But, due to the ever-increasing inflation, there is a possibility that there may be a good increase in the next dearness allowance.
The matter has not been made on the arrears of one and a half year.
