7th Pay Commission: Waited for 18 months and now waiting for 16 months. Dues of dearness allowance of central employees were not received. Many times agitation and many letters have reached the government. But the hands are empty. In the last year and a half, the dearness allowance has been increased thrice. But the balance was not received. Now the hope of the employees is rekindled. This agenda can be discussed in the meeting with the cabinet secretary. If sources are to be believed, the government can pay the dues without interest. But, for this money can be given in 3 installments.

Can get gift next year

The wait may be over for central employees. At the beginning of next year, he may be paid three installments of dearness allowance for 18 months. The good news is that a meeting is to be held on the arrears of dearness allowance. In this meeting, it can be agreed that the dearness allowance, which has been stopped since the year 2020, should be paid now. The government had increased DA by 11 percent in 2021 simultaneously. But, before that three installments of January 2020, July 2020, January 2021 were not received. Raised the demands of the employees and also organized agitations but all remained ineffective. The government also flatly refused to give it. Now there is hope once again. The representatives of Employees and Pensioners Union will try to clear the dues in the cabinet secretary’s meeting.

If money is received, it will be released in 3 installments

The 3 installments for which the money is outstanding can be released in the same order. Means if the government agrees then the money can be given in 3 installments. Central employees have arrears of three installments (DA Arrears) between January 2020 and June 2021. This is 11 percent. Due to the pandemic Corona, the government had lifted the ban on DA frozen. But, after July 2021 only the increased dearness allowance was paid. Money frozen for 18 months was not received. The Finance Ministry only said in this matter that the dearness allowance was freeze, money is not made for this period. However, the Supreme Court had asked the government to consider saying that it is the right of the employees, it can be frozen but cannot be stopped. There is a constant demand of central employees that this is their right, their money should not be withheld. The employees had also appealed in the court regarding the demand for arrears allowance.

Will get according to pay level?

According to National Council of JCM (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra, told that the payment of employees at different pay-levels will be different. But, the DA arrears of employees at Level-3 can be between Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. At the same time, the arrears of the employee for Level-13 (Basic Pay Scale Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900) or Level-14 can be between Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200. However, there can also be a negotiated settlement with the government. Then this figure can change.

11880 rupees will be available in 3 installments

According to the pay matrix of central employees, the minimum salary is Rs 18000, he will get Rs 11,880 as arrears (Rs 4320+3240+4320).
