7th Pay Commission: Before Holi, a bad news has come for the central employees. Even though the government may increase the dearness allowance (DA Hike) by 3 percent, but no decision will be taken on the long-running demand to increase the fitment factor. Even in the year 2022, the fitment factor will not increase.

According to reports, the central government is not in favor of increasing the fitment factor at present. The difference in the revenue of the government due to Covid and inflation will not succeed in increasing this additional financial burden at the moment.

Know why there is demand

The fitment factor is very important for government employees. On the basis of this, it is decided that how much will be increased in the basic salary in the coming days, apart from this, the fitment factor is very important in deciding the salary of central government employees.

According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay Commission), in addition to the salary allowances, the basic salary and fitment factor increase in the salary of the central employees. The fitment factor can increase the salary of central employees by more than two and a half times. This is the reason why it is being demanded for a long time.

Know how much it can increase

At present, the central employees are getting 2.57 fitment factor. On the basis of which the minimum salary (Basic Salary fitment factor) has been fixed at Rs 18000. In such a situation, if there is an increase of 3 percent, then the basic salary will be Rs 21000. At the same time, if it can be increased to 3.68, then the salary will be Rs 25,760. After which the employees are demanding that their fitment factor should be increased to 3.68. And the minimum salary should be kept at Rs 26000.
