Zomato Ad Issue: There is a lot of criticism on social media regarding the new advertisement of Zomato. The company itself has clarified why Zomato made advertisements for such expensive stars in such difficult times.

Zomato Ad Issue: For a few days, two ads of Zomato have been in a lot of discussion on TV. Which has Hrithik Roshan in one advertisement and Katrina Kaif in the other advertisement. It is being criticized more than it is being praised for this advertisement. Regarding this advertisement, industry people say that at a time when the delivery boys are going through low salary and difficult working conditions, Zomato is spending money on advertisements with such expensive superstars to make their image shine.

Zomato responds to criticism

Zomato has now given the answer to these ever-increasing criticisms. Zomata says that we know that people are saying that we have taken expensive celebrities in advertisements to divert attention from real issues like salary, working condition. Also our delivery executives don’t have a minute to go from one order to another and they work in rainy and sunny days.

‘The ad was to make the delivery partners heroes’

Zomato has written on Twitter that every story has two sides. The advertisement was conceptualized 6 months ago (long before the discussion on the salaries and working conditions of workers on social media) and was shot two months ago today. Zomato says that the purpose of this ad was to make the delivery partners heroes and to give the message that for us every customer is a customer be it Hrithik Roshan or Katrina Kaif.

‘Talks are on to resolve all issues’

Zomato says that this ad was created so that people can talk to the delivery partners with respect as Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif do in the ad, while very few people do. We made this ad with a good intention, but some people seem to have misunderstood it. Zomato says that we are in discussion with our delivery partners to resolve all the issues.
