PAN Card / Aadhaar Card / Passport: PAN, Aadhaar number, passport, driving license and registration certificate of vehicles, etc., are documents which are always needed somewhere. Now if any one of these documents is lost somewhere, then you have to worry for many days to recover it and you always have the fear of losing them. But, if you use the digitally available locker facility, then you will not be afraid of losing these important documents. This facility is also known as DigiLocker.
These days there are a lot of discussions about DigiLocker, because through this you can keep all your important documents safe. If you have a car and you drive it yourself. Someday, if you forget to take driving license and RC book in a hurry, then you will be relieved when Digilocker is there. Through this DigiLocker, the government has almost eliminated the imperative of keeping hardcopy of important documents like PAN and Aadhaar card.

How to use
If you have kept a copy of the required documents in DigiLocker, then you will not face any kind of problems. The reason for this is that it will be validated. However, CBSE i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education has even provided the facility to keep its students’ marksheet of 10th and 12th in DigiLocker. To get digital marksheet on DigiLocker, students have to visit the website Digilocker.gov.in. If students do not want to download it, they can log on it and download the marksheet.
How will the account be opened?
To open your account on Digilocker, you can go to digilocker.gov.in or digitallocker.gov.in.
Click on the Sign Up option on the right.
On clicking, a new page will open, where you will enter your mobile number.
For DigiLocker, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, which you have to enter.
Now you have to set your user name and password. After doing this, you can easily use your DigiLocker.
